Yoakum County Park in Plains, TX is a lovely county park with a nice 18 hole golf course. The 4 RV spots are located along a fence and have electric hookups. The park caretaker is friendly and can be reached via phone on the parks website. While there is some truck noise from the nearby road, it is not too bad. There is a free dump near the caretakers house, however, the water hose does not have a connector on the end. Its a great stopover spot and also offers amenities such as bathrooms and the golf course. The town of Denver City nearby has a modern and reasonably priced laundromat as well as a decent supermarket (Thriftway), both clean and well-stocked. The local community encourages visitors to spend time and money in their county.
