Island RV Resort is a large park located in the center of Port Aransas, Texas. It is within walking or biking distance to many of the areas attractions and offers easy in and out access. The sites are all paved, but the roads are narrow, making it difficult to maneuver large RVs. The spaces are also smaller than other RV parks in the area, making it a tight fit for 40 foot motorhomes. The park offers a variety of amenities, but unfortunately the bathrooms and laundry facilities are currently closed. Additionally, the trash bins at the front of the park are often open and smell of rot. The staff is friendly and helpful, guiding visitors to their sites and helping to align their RVs in the dark. WiFi is available in the office area, but not at the sites. The park is close to a bird sanctuary, but not close to the beach or other attractions, so a car is necessary. There is also a propane station and staff to help with propane needs. Unfortunately, the park has a reputation for rudeness, with one of the office staff married to a man in the corner slot who has a bad reputation of yelling at other campers. Despite this, the park is kept very clean and the grass is always cut.
