Pioneer Beach Resort is a great place to relax and have some fun. The resort has nice amenities like two pools, a bird watching pond, laundry, and a visitor building. It is a quiet place with very friendly long-term residents. The weekend breakfasts are delicious! However, the sites are a bit tight for larger RVs; some guests have mentioned needing to ask neighbors to move their vehicle in order to leave the campground. Nonetheless, Pioneer Beach Resort is an affordable and friendly place with clean facilities and access to the beach. The staff is helpful, friendly, and they regularly pick up trash from the sites. The roads and spots are concrete, and the parking is limited. However, there is additional parking for an extra vehicle in the park. It is a great location, near both Port Aransas and Corpus Christi, with plenty to see and do in both towns. Plus, there is an enclosed off-leash dog area for furry friends.
