Adolph Thomae County Park is a scenic campground located near the Laguna Madre, the bay between the south Texas shoreline and South Padre Island. The park is relatively clean and the staff is friendly, but there is a lot of traffic due to the fishermen with motorboats. The sewer connections are just PVC risers with no coupling or cap, and there is some trash around the park. Be aware that if you reserve a space within a 24 hour window, you may not be able to get a refund.
