GenieSummary
Bay View Campground is a large, older park in the Coastal Bend of Texas. It has a host of amenities including a large, clean family clubhouse with kitchen services, big screen TV, three pool tables, a small workout room, air hockey, ping pong, and a ping pong table. The park also has two pools, two jacuzzis, and two clubhouses. The sites are roomy and have plenty of trees for shade in the summer. They are mostly back in, some with concrete pads, some with gravel or grass. The park is close to Rockport, TX, where there is shopping and stores. Unfortunately, the roads are very rutted and the security gate did not work during one reviewers stay. The showers have peeling paint and frogs crawling out of holes in the wall. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the park is overpriced. The original owner is trying to make long needed repairs, but the campground still needs a lot of work. There is an alligator in the lake, but it has not been seen.
