However, the boat launch is extremely popular with airboat enthusiasts and their engines are quite loud, so it may not be suitable for those who want a peaceful camping experience. The park also offers a variety of amenities such as power, water, fire pits, BBQs, and picnic tables. The park is also home to an abundance of wildlife, including Whooping Cranes, and the annual pass will pay for itself in no time.

Mustang Island State Park Campground is a popular camping destination in Port Aransas, Texas. The campground is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and reservations are highly recommended, especially during the busy season from Memorial Day through Labor Day, October through Thanksgiving, and January through April. The campground offers a variety of amenities and activities for visitors to enjoy, including hiking, fishing, swimming, and birdwatching. Children under 12 years old can camp for free. The climate is mild, with an average low of 45 degrees in January and an average high of 92 degrees in July. The wettest months are August, September, and October. The campground is located near Mustang Island State Park and offers easy access to nearby state parks, historic sites, and state natural areas.
