What others are saying about this campground
Sea Rim State Park is a beautiful and unique coastal campground located on the Gulf of Mexico. It offers 14 RV hookup sites, as well as the option to camp on the beach. The beach sand is very firm, and you can even drive your RV out to a primitive spot. There is no designated tent pad or fire ring, and no showerhouse. There are pit-toilets and a dump station about a mile down the road. The park also has a picnic area, fire rings, and water and electric hookups. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The park is a great spot for birders, and there is a paved auto tour road at the nearby McFaddin National Wildlife Refuge. Mosquitoes can be an issue, so it is recommended to bring bug spray and a hand held vacuum. The park is a bit far from town, but Port Arthur is not too far away for laundry or grocery needs. It can be a bit pricey for no hookups beach camping, but you cant beat the price for ocean front access.

From The Campground

Sea Rim State Park is a remote and unique coastal park located in the far southeast corner of Texas. It has 5.2 miles of Gulf shoreline and 4,000 acres of marshlands. Visitors can camp, go birding and beach combing, paddle in a canoe or kayak, swim, fish, hunt (in season) and walk. The park offers 15 campsites with utilities, a cabin, and primitive camping on the beach. Fishing gear is available for loan and there is a boat ramp. The park also offers horseback riding on over 3 miles of Gulf Coast beachfront. Alligators live in the park, so visitors are advised to read the Alligator Safety Tips. Mosquitoes can be a nuisance year-round, so it is recommended to pack bug spray.
