From The Campground

Twin Buttes Reservoir is a public access facility that offers fishing, hiking, camping, and picnicking opportunities. A Limited Public Use permit ($12/year) or the Annual Public Hunting permit ($48, which also includes hunting) is required for persons 17 years and older to access the area. Primitive camping is limited to shore areas immediately adjacent to designated roads. Boat ramps are available under low water conditions and are operated by San Angelo Parks & Recreation. Camping is also available nearby at San Angelo State Park.
