Alamo River RV Resort in Von Ormy, TX, is a nice park with full-service hookups. The sites are level and easy to access. Theres slight freeway noise but it doesnt detract from the overall experience. The showers and bathrooms are single units with a toilet, shower, and sink. The water takes a while to get warm but it works well after that. Many people suggest the showers would benefit from more shelves or hooks for toiletries. Check-in was smooth and easy, and the park is gated at night, making it secure. The park is excellent for overnight or longer stays and is about 20 minutes from the Alamo. Dont believe all the negative reviews. The park is well-kept, clean, and the staff is accommodating. While there isnt a store, the office is clean and nice, the campground is pretty well maintained, and the laundry area is nice. Overall, a great value for the area.
