Sanders RV Park in Sanderson, TX is the perfect spot for a peaceful camping experience. The campground offers a flat, turfed camping field with a covered pavilion and electricity, so you dont have to worry about spiky desert plants or the noise of the nearby train. All sites are pull-through and there is plenty of room to maneuver for big rigs. The sites are gravel with shade trees and nice landscaping, and there is a special grassy area for tenting. Self-service check-in is available with a self-check-in kiosk, and you can pay with cash or check at a drop box on the property. The park is small but has plenty of room to maneuver a big rig, and there are no OTA TV signals available in the area. Unfortunately, showers are an extra $3, and filling your water tank is an extra $10. The owners leave two dogs outside in a fenced area most of the day and night, and they bark a lot. Trains in the back and semis in front could make for a noisy stay, but its a clean and safe place with a couple of Border Patrol agents staying there. Be aware that there is a low clearance train bridge (137) when leaving the park going west on scenic old 90.
