Rockets RV Park - Hobbs is a well-maintained, clean RV park located in a rural area close to Highway US-62/180. The park is built for extended-stay oil field workers, but is open to the public for all lengths of stays. The majority of the campers are permanent residents, and all of the campsites are back-in with utilities located at the rear. The entire campground is well-graded and level gravel. The grounds are quiet, despite being close to the highway. Traffic can be heard during the day, but it drops off considerably after sunset. The parks facilities, including the shower and laundry areas, were very clean. The Wi-Fi connection was good and strong, and Verizon coverage was also strong. The owner is friendly and responsive to calls and messages regarding reservations and check-in. The price for the campsites is reasonable for the area. A walking and biking trail is available around the park and adjacent lot. While there is no dog park, there is ample space to walk dogs. Some campsites have stickers, so be sure to check your pets paws. The only suggestion for improvement would be to convert some back-in sites to pull-thru sites and add a dog run. Overall, this is a great place for an overnight stay or for an extended stay if you are in the area.
