Choke Canyon State Park is a quiet and peaceful campground located at the end of a cul-de-sac off TX 72 and close to I-37. The park offers full hookups and Wi-Fi for $35 per night. The sites are level and without picnic tables, fire rings, or BBQ grills. There are big dips in the roadway at both entrances, so it can get messy if it rains. The weeds between sites are scraggly and there is litter around the park. The park is home to full-time workers at the nearby oil fields and offers two bars LTE on AT&T cell phones and 15 OTA TV stations. The lovely brisk evenings and sunsets make it a great place to stay and the hospitable Paul and Jenny are eager to help. It is the nicest of all the parks in the area and is a great place to stay in a pinch.

From The Campground

Nestled in Three Rivers, Texas, Gilmore Heritage RV Park offers RV sites featuring big rig access, pull through sites, water, sewerage, trash, laundry, WiFi and 30/50 amp hookups. Sites are just a short drive from local attractions such as Padre Island Beach, The River Walk, Fiesta Texas Entertainment Park, Corpus Christi shopping and of course the Choke Canyon reservoir. We are a very small quiet and peaceful park. Located in the heart of the Eagelford Shale in Three Rivers Tx, we are only one half mile from Choke Canyon State Park where some of the best fishing in the state takes place! We promise lots of shade trees, have a laundry room and a playground for the little folks! Whether its for a night or two, we promise you a wonderful stay! Hope to see you soon!
