Mountain View RV Park in Van Horn, Texas is a conveniently located, no-frills, full-hookup campground right off of Interstate 10. Its a large dirt and stone lot with pine trees between the sites. The park is a mix of long-term and short-term RVs, but the short-term spots fill up fast. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the office is easy to find. The roads and sites are gravel and all the services are good and located in the middle of the park. There is some highway noise, so earplugs may come in handy for light sleepers. Despite this, its a great place for a quick overnight stay and is very appropriately priced. If you have pets, be mindful of the sand burrs on the property. The dog park is available and does its job well, although it has no real amenities like waste cans or benches.
