Southern Star RV Park in Van Horn, TX is a basic campground with hookups that is clean and quiet. The park is located between I-10 and the railroad tracks, which can be noisy. The site includes FHU, but the sewer was at the rear of the site. Additionally, the site was sand/dirt hard pan with sparse grass between. Passing through, visitors did not use any amenities. WiFi was slow, but there is reliable 5G service available. OTA is nonexistent. However, the services worked well. Visitors have to watch out for the stickers on the ground. The camp host was nice, and the manager was very polite and accommodating. It was okay for an overnight stay, as there isnt much to do in Van Horn.
