What others are saying about this campground
The road leading into the campground is poorly marked and full of potholes, however, once you get to the park, the sites are well spaced for privacy and have a covered table, fire pit, BBQ pit, electric, and water (no sewer). The dump station is poorly constructed and the outlets are higher than the motorhomes sewer hose, so you may need to support the hose with a PVC pipe. The park is quiet and peaceful, and you can take a trail right down to the lake from the fire pit area. There is no wifi, but you can get 3 bars of LTE with Verizon, lots of OTA channels, and great views of the lake from some sites. The bath house is a bit far from some sites and the restrooms are old and unpleasant. Speegleville Campground is a peaceful and well-maintained Corps of Engineers park located on Waco Lake. It has 30 RV sites and 2 shelters, all with electric and water hookups (no sewer), a covered table, fire pit, BBQ pit, and asphalt pad.
