This campground on Lake Lavon is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway. It is well-maintained and offers spacious RV sites with grills, covered tables, and a view of the lake. The sites are mostly paved with aging asphalt and the roads are in need of repair, but the park is on the CoEs list for repairs. The entry gate is locked from 10PM to 6AM, so plan accordingly if leaving the park. The bathrooms are clean and the campsites are roomy, although the grass could have been maintained better. The electrical hookups are properly wired and the lake is right there for swimming. There are not many trees for shade, so keep that in mind when packing for your trip. Overall, this is a great value and a great spot for a weekend away.
