This campground is a great place to stay for a family getaway, with lake access for swimming, boating, beach and fishing. The facilities are clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The sites are close together with little shade, but they are large and level, with asphalt driveways and covered picnic tables. The lake views from some of the sites are beautiful, and there is plenty of space between spots. However, the asphalt is crumbling and there are ankle-breaking drop offs between the parking pad and the picnic table. The grass is usually a foot high, making it difficult to find a play space for the kids. The roads are in rough shape, with many potholes and craters that can damage suspensions. The electric boxes indicate that 40 amp is the max delivered from the stand in any combination of connections. The park is secure, with regular rounds being made by park rangers and the Wylie PD. The bathrooms are clean, but the showers are non-fancy COE style and could use some more cleaning. The park has a 14 day limit, but it can be extended by the lake manager.
