Nizhoni Campground is a beautiful, secluded campground located at the end of a 9-mile County Road going north out of Blanding, Utah. Nestled in the Abajo Mountains, the campground is easily accessible and level, with picnic tables, fire rings, vault toilets, and potable water available. The two campground hosts are friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and the campground is a great place to meet other campers and feel at home. Each campsite has a fire pit with a grate and a sturdy table, and the vault toilets are kept exceptionally clean. The area is full of wildlife, with deer and coyotes roaming the grounds, and the campground is a great spot for exploring the nearby trails and sights. The campground can fill up on busy weekends, but there are plenty of dispersed camping areas around. The sites are suitable for most RVs and trailers, though some may be too large. There is a discounted camping fee available with a national parks pass, and the campground is close to Moab, Utah and Supai, Arizona. The campground is a great spot for a pit stop or for an extended stay, and is sure to provide a peaceful and serene camping experience.
