From The Campground
Ferron Reservoir Campground is located just below the ridgeline of the Wasatch Plateau at an elevation of ~9,500 feet. The campground is set in a scenic alpine basin among spruce, fir, and aspen trees, which provide partial shade for campers. The campground is adjacent to Ferron Reservoir and offers amazing scenery, including seasonal wildflowers and autumn leaves which put on quite a show in the surrounding area. Activities offered at this campground include wildlife watching, canoeing, boating (small craft only) and fishing for rainbow and cutthroat trout. Numerous off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails also criss-cross the area, offering exciting rides for all riding skill levels. This campground contains one group site with lake views that can accommodate up to 50 people and eight vehicles. The group site includes large picnic tables, serving and utility tables, a fire ring with benches, a potable water spigot, and outstanding views. Several single-family sites are also available, with picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets and potable water are provided, but there is no garbage service. Roads and parking spurs are gravel. Nearby attractions include Rush Pond, Willow Lake, Skyline Drive, and the expansive Arapeen OHV Trail System which has more than 350 miles of designated, maintained OHV trails.
