What others are saying
Lower Onion Creek Campground is a great place to camp near Moab, Utah. It is located off of Highway 128, across from the Fisher Towers turn off. It is a great spot to get away from the noise of the city and take in the beauty of the Colorado River and the Fisher Tower area. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring, and some sites are large enough for a pull-through trailer or RV. The campground is open year-round and costs $15 a night. During the summer months, there are shaded picnic tables, perfect for hanging hammocks. The campground is also close to Arches National Park and the Kokopelli Trail, which offers 10 miles of canyons with 4 wheel drive. The nights can get chilly in the fall, but the days are perfect for exploring. The raft groups often come to the campground around 9am, so its best to get there early if youre in a group looking for more than one site. Lower Onion Creek is a great spot for camping and is highly recommended for anyone looking for a scenic and peaceful camping experience.
