Monte Cristo Campground is the perfect spot for a last-minute getaway. Located over 9000 feet in elevation, the campground is surrounded by beautiful Aspen, Pine, and other trees, providing plenty of shade. The loops that connect the campground are paved by asphalt, and there are two large group sites in Loop C that can accommodate larger groups. There are several potable water hydrants throughout the campground, as well as plenty of vaulted restrooms. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire ring, and place to grill, and the sites are spread out nicely apart for privacy. The temperature is perfect for camping, with days in the upper 60s and overnights in the lower 40s. There are also plenty of hiking trails and ATV/UTV trails nearby, as well as fishing and swimming. Make sure to drive slow when coming in as you could miss it!
