From The Campground
Woodford State Park is a 398-acre park located on a mountain plateau surrounding Adams Reservoir. The high elevation spruce/fir/birch forest provides an ideal setting for the park. Woodford borders the George Aiken Wilderness Area, which is in the Green Mountain National Forest. There are several lakes and ponds in the surrounding area. The campground has 76 tent/RV sites, 20 lean-to sites, and 4 cabins available to rent. Flush toilets, coin-operated hot showers, and a dump station are provided. There is a small beach and picnic area near the dam with pit toilet facilities. The park offers several hiking trails, including a 2.7 mile trail around the lake. Boats are welcome at the park and are available to rent. Brook trout can be found in Adams Reservoir. Pets are not permitted on the sandy beach or in most cabins, but are allowed elsewhere throughout the park including the campers' beach. At this time, only the Lady Slipper cabin is pet-friendly. Please clean up after your pets.
