From The Campground
Mt. Philo State Park is the first Vermont State Park, established in 1924. The park sits atop 968' Mt. Philo and offers breathtaking views of the Lake Champlain Valley and New York's Adirondack Mountains. Visitors can hike or drive to the summit, and enjoy a small campground, picnic tables, and a rustic lodge that can be rented for group functions. The park is an excellent spot for bird watching and raptor watching during autumn bird migrations.
