From The Campground

Big Deer State Park is located in the Groton State Forest Recreation Area close to the Groton Nature Center, Boulder Beach State Park and Stillwater State Park. The park offers 22 tent/RV sites, 5 lean-to shelters, firewood, a restroom with flush toilets, hot and cold running water, and coin-operated hot showers. The park is within close proximity to the six other parks in the Groton State Forest. While it is used primarily as a campground, there are plenty of other activities and attractions at the nearby parks.
