Gifford Woods State Park in Killington, VT is a small, clean, and friendly campground with semi-secluded sites and good cell service suitable for remote work while camping. Through-hikers on the AT/LT can find rest and shelter here. Although theres been an increase in black bear activity, it doesnt deter campers from returning to this peaceful park. The facilities are well-maintained with clean bathrooms and showers, and water spigots are conveniently located throughout the park. Theres plenty to do with lots of hiking trails, a peaceful pond with fishing within walking distance, and a volleyball lawn for group and family activities. Overall, Gifford Woods is highly recommended for anyone who wants a private and enjoyable camping experience.

Gifford Woods State Park is a beautiful camping destination located in Killington, Vermont. The park features 4 cabins, 21 tent/RV sites, and 19 lean-to sites situated in two camping loops. Each loop has a restroom with flush toilets, hot and cold running water, and coin-operated hot showers. Firewood and ice are available for sale. A wooded picnic area is located behind the ranger's quarters with a play area. Day hikes are available and there is an easy hook up with the Appalachian Trail. The park is surrounded by old-growth forest, and there are no trails permitted in the natural area to preserve its natural state.
