White Caps Campground offers a scenic view of Lake Willoughby, especially if you can get a front-row site. The camp store has a few necessary items. The addition of new owners has led to upgrades on roads and site pads. There is entertainment and a food wagon on some days. It is possible to rent paddleboards, canoes, and kayaks for the lake. Although showers require a coin system to use, it is easy to enjoy your stay. The campground has no phone or internet service, although there is Wi-Fi access available but only by the office. The campground does not have a dumpsite on-site, but the Willo Campground down the road provides this service for a fee. Some guests have noted that the sites are close to each other, which may lead to issues with noise, limited space, safety concerns, and lack of privacy.
From The Campground
White Caps Campground is a small family-run campground offering lodging, watercraft rentals, and a vibrant cafe/general store. The campground is located at the south end of Lake Willoughby, named by Yankee magazine (July/August, 2013) as one of the most beautiful lakes in New England. Most recently (July 2020) was featured in the Boston Globe for being rated one of the top 10 campgrounds in New England by Campspot.com. Paradise for the photographer and outdoor lover, you can spend your days hiking and exploring Mounts Pisgah & Hor (as well as the rest of the Willoughby state forest range), kayaking, canoeing, swimming, paddleboarding, and sailing under beautiful sunsets on Lake Willoughby. You are only minutes from the Kingdom Trails, famous for its world-class mountain biking. White Caps Campground has something to offer for everyone. We can't wait to host your next vacation!
