What others are saying about this campground
Onion River Campground is a peaceful and scenic campground located along a shallow river in the foothills of the mountains. The campground is managed by Jacqueline and her staff, who put on events and activities throughout the season. The campground is surrounded by nature trails, apple orchards, and greenhouses, and is full of wildlife like deer and turkeys. The camping sites are large and grassy, with individual fire pits, and the sound of the river rambling nearby. The campground is reasonably priced, and even lower when you stay a month or more. The campground is also conveniently located near a drive-in movie theater, and there is a dump station on site. However, the access road is filled with deep potholes, and the bridge to the campground has a 24,000 pound limit. There is no wifi, and the few spots with 50 amp and sewer are occupied by long-term customers. Despite this, the campground is a great place to explore nature, relax, and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
