What others are saying about this campground
Burton Island is a family-friendly campground located in Vermont. It is a car-free paradise that requires a boat or ferry to get to and offers peace, nature, and gorgeous shoreline. There is a short path through the woods that leads to a rocky shoreline, perfect for canoeing and kayaking. The south tip of the island gets more wind and waves, making it great for swimming. There is a camping bistro where visitors can buy pancakes, coffee, local beer, and fine wines. The 3/4 mile crossing from Kamp KilKare State Park can be rough and windy depending on the weather. Visitors can enjoy watching sunsets, catching frogs, renting paddleboards, playing in the waves, and exploring the island. Reservations can only be made by calling Burton Island.
