From The Campground
West River Camperama is a mostly seasonal family campground on 40 acres along the West River in Townshend, VT. They offer week long reservations only from Memorial Day to Labor Day, from Monday-Monday. Shorter stays are available in the shoulder season. All of their sites have water and 30 amp electric. Cable TV and Internet service can be purchased through Comcast on seasonal sites but are not available on their nightly rental sites. More than half of their sites also have direct sewer hookups. The campground offers clean restroom facilities, a large recreation hall, internet access near the camp store, ice, bundled firewood, laundry, honey wagon & dump station, and year round RV and trailer storage. Recreation activities include 5 horseshoe pits, a basketball court, a swimming pool, shuffleboard, 2000+ feet of frontage on the West River, fishing, and weekend hayrides (Saturday at 4:00PM). They do not allow out of state firewood to be brought into the campground. Bundled firewood is available for sale at the campground. Larger quantities (1/2 cord max) can be purchased from local places such as the Harmonyville store.
