Barrewood Campground is a great place for a weekend getaway. The campground is spacious, with plenty of room for RVs and tents. There are trails in the woods that lead to a nice waterfall and an area that was great for wading. The owner, Mark, is very accommodating and always checking to make sure everything is going fine. The campground is perfect for dogs, with a big open field to let them run off leash and trails into the woods along a stream for them to swim. The campground offers 30 Amp power, good wifi, and a PA discount available Sunday through Thursday. Mark is also hoping to add more sites with sewer in the near future. The campground is close to Newport Vermont and the shores of Lake Memphremagog, as well as Jay Peak. There is plenty to do in the area, including hiking and fishing. The only drawback is that cell phone service is limited.
