Americamps RV Resort in Ashland, VA offers nice and convenient accommodations for an overnight stay while traveling via I-95. Although its close to the highway, its also located near various areas for shopping and exploration. The park has clean facilities and provides amazing service from their hardworking team always with a smile. Their propane is the cheapest around and everything works well. The staff was accommodating and friendly upon welcoming us even though we arrived a day early. The bath/shower rooms were a bit outdated but fairly clean. However, the campground can get crowded during the warmer season and some sites occupied by long-term residents may look unsightly.

The resort features a large, fenced canine park, 2 bath houses, 2 laundry facilities, free Cable TV & Wi-Fi, and a fun pool area for summer enjoyment. The staff is committed to providing great service and warm, Southern hospitality. Americamps RV Resort is located just 19 minutes from the historic district of Richmond, Virginia where you can tour Civil War Battlefields and Museums, experience the thrills of King's Dominion Theme Park, tour local wineries and breweries, and spend a fun-filled day at Richmond Raceway Complex. During NASCAR race week, Americamps provides charter bus services to and from the raceway. Monitcello and Williamsburg are just a one hour drive away.
