Otter Creek Campground is a great place to stop for camp along the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway. It is an older campground that is not as well maintained as some of the other campgrounds on the parkway, but it is still a great place to relax and unwind. The RV and tent pads are older cement and not as level, but the sites are spacious and secluded. There are no showers, but there are comfort stations and clean bathrooms. The creek is more like a stream and it is quiet and serene. The campground is close to the AT and Blue Ridge Parkway and about an hour from Shenandoah National Park. It is a great place for outdoor youth groups to unplug and get back to basics. The sites are slightly small and close together, but they are very well maintained. The park ranger is very nice and helpful and the campground is dog friendly. There is a nice pond nearby and the nearest cell signal is about ten miles up at the House Mountain Overlook.
