What others are saying
This campground is located in a beautiful hilly area with tall hardwood trees and a nearby rushing river. However, the 5 mile single lane road leading to the campground is extremely narrow and dangerous, and the 90 degree turn onto the small concrete bridge is difficult to navigate. The campground itself is not a world class resort, but there are many seasonal sites with poorly maintained campers and cluttered porches. The 30 amp service is weak, and the cost of $37 for water and electric (but no sewer) is expensive for what you get. The owners ride golf carts around the campground, but dont seem to address the obvious problems. There are some pretty wooded sites in the rear loops, but they are far from the bathroom facilities.

Welcome to Middle Creek Campground! We are nestled back in a holler of the Blue Ridge Mountains at the foot of Fork Mountain. Set your compass for adventure. We are close to an abundance of outdoor adventures! Including the upper James River, the Appalachian Trail and The Blue Ridge Parkway. We offer 30 and 30/50 amp sites. All have water and electric. We also have some full hookups (sewer). We accommodate tents and hammocks to buses. Yes, as in 55′ tour bus. It all depends on the driver.
