The hosts are welcoming and helpful, and there are opportunities to socialize with the community during happy hours and bonfires. Additionally, there are beautiful hiking trails nearby, including a waterfall. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also not too far away. Overall, its a fantastic place to go to relax and enjoy the views. The clubhouse is great for relaxing, doing laundry, or working on puzzles. Note that there are no picnic tables or fire rings, and the screened porch can be a bit windy, but that keeps the bugs away.

Virginia Highland Haven has fostered the fellowship and common bond of Airstream owners for over 50 years. All campers are invited to participate in social activities organized by the park host which may include happy hours, campfires, ice cream socials, movie nights, morning yoga, or a hike to the park’s waterfall. Surrounding Floyd County has a rich history of bluegrass and mountain music. The nearby Blue Ridge Parkway offers scenic drives. Roanoke, 22 miles northeast, offers excellent cultural, shopping, dining, and historic attractions. Golfing, hiking, and kayaking are popular local outdoor activities.
