Cross Rip Campground is a serene and peaceful campground located right on the banks of the bay. It is a small, woman-owned campground with full electric and water, but no sewer. There are plenty of activities to enjoy, such as fishing, crabbing, swimming, boating, regattas, hiking/walking, and a fresh waterpond catch & release. The owners, Catherine and Rebecca, are incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing kayaks, canoes, sailboats, beach chairs, bikes, and more. The bath houses are clean and well-maintained, and the campground has a beautiful view of the sunset and sunrise. There is a great beach with Adirondack chairs and a new disc golf course. The campsites are wooded and spacious, and there is a deck/patio area next to the bay with chairs and side tables. There is also a fishing pier and a protected swim area. The campground is perfect for those looking to get away and relax in nature, and there is plenty of seafood in the surrounding area.

Cross Rip Campground offers 'Old School Camping' with RV/tent sites, cabins, and a bunk house. The campground is located on the Chesapeake Bay between the Rappahannock and Piankatank rivers, offering activities such as kayaking, canoeing, biking, hiking, fishing, and crabbing. Amenities include restroom and shower facilities, firewood and ice for sale, pet-friendly, private sandy beach, fishing/crabbing pier, fresh water pond, and more. Grocery stores, restaurants, and marinas are all within a couple of miles. The campground has a cancellation policy and offers daily, weekly, monthly, and seasonal camping rates.
