From The Campground

Elizabeth Furnace Recreation Area is a beautiful forested area that offers campsites, picnic areas, and trails along the Passage Creek. Visitors can enjoy hiking the Pig Iron and Charcoal trail, fishing from a stocked trout stream, grilling out at a picnic spot, or taking a stroll across the swinging bridge to view the historic cabin. The campground is open year-round and offers 32 campsites, 15 of which are accessible. The day use area is open from mid-April to October and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The group campground can accommodate up to 50 people and requires a reservation. Vault toilets are available year-round, and flush toilets and warm water showers are available from late May to September.
