Rock Bottom Horse Camp, nestled in the scenic backdrop of Ewing, Virginia, and adjacent to the Cumberland Gap National Historical Park, offers a unique camping experience for both horse enthusiasts and nature lovers. Our campground is conveniently located a short ride from park trails, unveiling breathtaking views of White Rocks, Sand Cave, and Hensley Settlement. Our campground is equipped with 8 sites for horse trailers or RVs, each featuring a picnic table and fire ring. These include one 70' site for larger rigs, five 60' sites, and two 50' sites, all with water and 50/30/20 amp electrical connections. For tent campers, we offer tranquil sites set between two creeks, offering a peaceful retreat close to the main camp. For your equine companions, we provide 8 stalls and 8 corrals, ensuring their comfort and safety during your stay. The stalls are spacious and well-maintained, with a limestone sand base for optimum care. Located east of the campground are the charming towns of Jonesville, Pennington Gap, Big Stone Gap, Norton, Wise, and Appalachia. To the west, explore Cumberland Gap, TN, Harrogate, TN, and Middlesboro, KY. Rock Bottom Horse Camp is not just a place to stay; it's an entry point to over 70 miles of backcountry riding and 85 miles of hiking trails, making it a perfect destination for outdoor adventure.
