Wilderness Road Campground is a well-maintained national park located in Ewing, VA. The sites are spacious and private, with nice spacing and vegetation between them. The reservation process through Recreation.GOV is easy. There are trails for biking and hiking and plenty to explore in the surrounding area. The staff is friendly, and the bathrooms and showers are clean and functional. While most sites are relatively flat, spacious, and forested, the campground is on the side of a hill. The campground is a great place to relax for a few days, and plenty of trails to hike!

From The Campground
Wilderness Road Campground is located approximately 3 miles from the park visitor center off of Highway 58 in Virginia. It has 160 sites in a beautiful wooded setting. The campground offers 20, 30 and 50 amp electrical hookups at 41 of the sites. Hot showers and potable water are located in the comfort stations. A dump station is located near the campground entrance. Most sites require backing, site C4 is a pull through site. The campground can accommodate up to eight people, four tents, and two cars maximum per site. Group camp sites are also available. Cost is $39.00 per night per site. Backcountry camping is allowed in designated sites with a permit. Permits are free of charge and must be obtained at the park visitor center.
