North Fork Resort in Front Royal, VA is a very large campground with multiple sections. The grounds are well kept and the area is spacious, with picturesque mountain views. One of the highlights of the campground is the section right along the Shenandoah River, which is very nice. The river is shallow and in the warmer weather is probably a great source of fun for kids to play in the water. The sites are close together and almost all were occupied with an RV, although most owners were away while we were there (weekdays). In general, the place was quiet. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. There are a lot of amenities for families including two nice pools. A nice feature is that each bathroom/shower is in a private room, and they were very clean. However, some guests have noted that the CCC or big rig gets parked in an uneven gravel parking lot and that the sites were small and on top of each other.

North Fork Resort is a member owned campground located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, just 69 miles west of Washington, D.C., where we are proud to enjoy the shoreline of the Shenandoah River as part of our park!
