At Camp Cardinal in Hayes, VA, there are plenty of fun-filled activities for kids including paddle boating, kayaking, bouncing on pillow pads, and playing at the playground. The free mining experience is also a hit with families. The park has a great pool with two options, including a splash pad and slide for kids and adults to enjoy. Although the adult pool was a bit cloudy, the childrens pool was well-maintained. Despite some inexperienced staff members, everyone was nice. The camp store staff, maintenance crew and check-in personnel were welcoming and friendly. The location offers excellent crabbing and fishing opportunities from the pier and shoreline. We had a great time and will definitely return.
