Ed Allens Campground & Cottages in Lanexa, VA is a nice and clean campground overall, with friendly and personable staff. Although some updates and sprucing up could be done, the full timers maintain their lots well. The campground offers great value and fantastic sites overlooking the lake, which you can rent a kayak or boat to enjoy. They have a private catch-and-release pond that does not require a Virginia fishing license. The pool area is nice and theres a back area for daily campers thats more open and has a nice view of the lake and forest. The office hours can be hit or miss, with more availability on weekends. There are many permanent sites, ranging from RVs to permanent structures, along with several mobile homes. People are friendly here. Its a fantastic spot to stay and explore Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown Settlement.

Ed Allen’s Campground and Cottages is a family-owned campground located along the beautiful shores of Chickahominy Lake. The tranquil, 85-acre shaded retreat features some of Virginia’s finest camping, fishing, recreation, and diverse wildlife. The campground offers large shaded overnight, weekly, monthly, and seasonal sites. It is conveniently accessible to many popular area attractions, including Colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, Water Country USA, Jamestown Settlement, wineries, Rosie’s Gaming / Colonial Downs, and many more. Visitors can enjoy peaceful evenings around the fire, fishing, boating, canoeing, or kayaking. Whether you come by RV, bring a camper, pitch a tent, or stay in one of our cottages, we’re sure you’ll find us accommodating.
