Lee Hi Campground is a simple, no-frills RV park located less than five minutes off the I-81. The campground offers full hookups with excellent water pressure, but the entry to the campsite can be somewhat confusing as it goes through an open, gated storage lot with wrecked vehicles. Once you are up the hill and take the first potholed road to your right, you will find the park. Unfortunately, most utility poles in the park are missing readable numbers, so refer to the map provided at the fuel desk. While there is no Wifi, the campground appears to indicate access to trucker showers. Depending on the wind, there may be some diesel smells due to the idling semis at the bottom of the hill, and there may be a bit of low humming. There are some permanent residents in other parts of the park, but it doesnt affect the visitor’s experience. The drive-up may be rutted and not entirely smooth because it is gravel, but it is manageable for most vehicles. Although it is not optimal for an extended stay, it is ideal for overnight stay at reasonable prices. Lee Hi Campground is a good choice for those traveling through or making a quick stopover in Lexington, VA.
