Residence appeared to be permanent and friendly. R&D Campground is a small, wooded campground located about 10 miles away from any other attractions. It offers a variety of camping options, including cabins, tent sites, trailer rentals, and pull-throughs. The owners are strict about site maintenance and the staff is friendly and helpful. The campground has recently made many improvements, including the addition of sewer hook-ups and staff that come around every other day to empty black and grey tanks. It is a great place for relaxation and is reasonably priced with a full rate of $30 and Passport America taken on weekdays for $15.75. The only downside is that the exit is rough, with a few ruts from having to pull into the road on an upgrade.

From The Campground
Quiet, Peaceful Camping is a year-round campground located 20 minutes away from King's Dominion Theme Park and 30 minutes away from Richmond International Raceway. The campground offers tent sites, cabins with AC/Heat, rental trailers, and full RV hook-ups. They also have a propane refilling station for RVs and propane tanks. The campground is a welcome break from urban life, but close enough to enjoy a weekend away.
