Montebello Camping & Fishing Resort is a beautiful, small campground surrounded by woods and ponds with a nice trout fishing pond. The bathhouse is clean and well-maintained, and the staff and general store are welcoming and friendly. The campground has a mix of full hook-up, water and electric, and tent sites, which are big enough for small and medium campers. While the road to get there is a bit tight, the access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking is great. There is no cell service, Wi-Fi, or TV reception, which could be a positive or negative depending on the preference of the guest. Some may find the electric and water hookups to be a bit tricky, and the winding VA56 road is not ideal for pulling a camper through, but following the campgrounds website directions and using the parkway can make the drive easier.
