What others are saying about this campground
This campground is conveniently located just 17 minutes from the coast. It is a no-frills campground with sites that are close together and a bathhouse on site. It has a dump station and is easy to find. The cost of an overnight stay with full hook up is low, but there are issues with drainage after rain leading to soggy turf and muddy puddles. The roads have deep potholes and some of the sites are too small for the size of the camper. The camp host is friendly and knowledgeable. The campground is close to the beach, car wash, commissary, medical, and boat marina. There is some road noise near the office, but it is not too bothersome. The cable TV has over 60 channels and the security is very high. The site we had was level and contained a concrete pad. The playground equipment is in good shape and the bathhouse was very clean.

From The Campground
JEB Little Creek - Fort Story Campground is a military campground located in Virginia Beach, VA. The campground offers 45 sites that are all very close in proximity with each other, narrow road to maneuver rigs. There is also a dump station for non-residents as well as concrete pads and six tent sites for dry camping. The location is near some great restaurants & shopping. The campground offers amenities such as free laundry, free wi-fi, free cable, and a monthly potluck, bonfire, and band at the pavilion. The campground is located right off the Tunnel Bridge and has good usable cell signal. The campground is close to the military beaches on both JEB Little Creek & Ft. Story. The campground is a great value for the money. However, the campground needs some serious updates and maintenance. The electrical service is paltry, there are only a couple 50amp service spots yet almost all newer mid-size and above RVs require 50amp service. The laundry room only had 1 working washer/other 1 has been broken for a couple of weeks. The entrance and exit signs for the campground itself are missing. The spot numbers are towards the back of the pad and in dark blue lettering on the grey power pedestal which makes it really hard to read at night for us older people! The roads inside the campground are horrendous and need patching/replacing all together. The bathhouse doesn't have a working HVAC system even when it is 50 degrees outside and 40 degrees inside. The campground is well-maintained, but it still could use a little dressing up. The campground is dog-friendly with multiple access to trails. The campground is just a few minutes to the beach, base pool, base theater, bowling alley, commissary/Nex, and medical. The campground manager Destiny is wonderful. The camp hosts were great, old host leaving new host taking over. Lots of help and great info. Being shared by everyone, doesn't get better than that!
