This campground is a hidden gem tucked away in the Virginia countryside. It features lots of activities such as geocaching, fishing, hiking, boat launch, canoe racks, playground, and a Junior Ranger program for the kids. Powhatan State Park offers a variety of camping options including yurts, primitive sites, and group camping. The River Bend Campground has 29 campsites with electric and water hookups for tents, popups, and RVs up to 60 feet long. The park also has picnic shelters, multi-use trails, and access to the James River for fishing and boating. Horseback riding is also available on the park's bridle trails.
