Blue Ridge Campground at Explore Park offers primitive camping, raised platforms, and group camp sites. The sites are hike-in/hike-out, and vehicles are not permitted at the campsites. The campground requires a quarter-mile walk in and out unless you catch a shuttle during operating hours. The small primitive sites can accommodate one tent only, up to four guests, and cost $25 per night. The medium primitive sites can accommodate two tents, up to six guests, and cost $50 per night. The raised platform sites can accommodate one tent, up to six guests, and cost $65 per night. The group sites can accommodate up to 25 guests and cost $150 per night for 10 tents or $75 per night for five tents. Customer must provide tents. Two pets maximum are allowed and must stay on a leash. Site amenities include a fire pit, picnic table, and hammock hooks built in for two hammocks on raised platforms. Firewood can be purchased when booking or on-site via the shuttle attendant from 3 PM to 6 PM. The campground is only available Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from April 1 to October 28, and on specific holiday dates. Reservations can be made online or by phone.
