The campground is owned and managed by a family who take great care of the place and are always willing to make special accommodations for their guests. Amenities include electric, water, and sewer hookups, free WiFi, and indoor and outdoor showers. There is also a fish cleaning station and a private boat launch. The campground is situated in a horseshoe bend of the James River, and depending on the river level, you can kayak up river for quite a ways and float back down to the campground. The only downside is that they charge an additional $10 per night per additional person, which is the highest extra person charge of any campground.
