Lewis Mountain Campground is a great destination for campers of all types, from AT hikers passing through to small RVers and tent campers. The campground offers thirty paved sites with tables, fire pits/grills, and a dumpster. There is one water spigot near site 4, and restrooms have hot water, but no showers. The campground is surrounded by wildlife and is only 5 miles away from the Big Meadows complex, which offers food and fuel. The campground is also home to an amphitheater with a breathtaking view. The hosts are very accommodating, and the sites are well kept. The Golden Age Passport gives 1/2 off the price, and FCFS (First Come, First Served) is the policy for reserving sites. The campground also has a camp store and heated cabins for when the weather turns nasty.
