Raccoon Branch Campground in Sugar Grove, VA is a secluded and clean campground where you can enjoy the beautiful area and sweet pine smell. The campground offers back-in spots only, but we had no issues finding a place to park even at night. While the first-come, first-served spots have no hookups, the camp host was accommodating and let us stay in another camp host site with full hookups at a great price of $27 with sewer. The dumpsite was easy to access with generous amounts of room, even for our 33 ft RV. While there is no Wi-Fi, if you dont mind being off the grid for a little while, its an excellent opportunity to unplug and explore nature. The only downside was that the town is 20-30 minutes away. Overall, we had a positive experience at Raccoon Branch Campground and appreciated the quick response and accommodations provided in the face of a water tank malfunction.

Raccoon Branch Campground is a beautiful little campground nestled at the base of Dickey Knob and adjacent to Raccoon Branch Wilderness. It offers scenic mountain views, hiking from your campsite, and cold mountain streams. Popular for trout fishing, summer vacations, and fall foliage viewing.
